Ambassador

Major: Psychology
Year: I’m halfway through my junior year. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by!

Why did you join the UCF Cares Ambassadors?
In fall of freshman year, I was unaware of the many great resources available for students. Over time I learned of the various services that UCF students can access for free or at discounted rates, such as Student Health Services (SHS), Knights Pantry, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and many others. Fast forward to junior year: I wanted to join a group that would help raise awareness of these options so that students of all backgrounds can get the support they need to have a successful college experience. UCF Cares was a perfect fit!

Favorite UCF Cares event:
My favorite UCF Cares event would definitely be Prize Ride! We give students a ride in our golf cart to wherever they are headed on campus while asking them questions about the various resources available to them through UCF. Participants are given a prize once they answer a few questions correctly, hence the name Prize Ride!

Fun Fact:
I used to play in a funk rock band called Blur (before we realized that name had already been taken 20 years prior). Our gimmick was that all three of us knew how to play guitar, bass, and drums, and would often switch instruments in between songs.
